The river is running about 12" above Summer Level, water clarity is OK.
Last day of the season tomorrow, so hopefully they'll be a few rods out (I'll be one of them). Last year David Purves managed a cracking fish on the last day and I'm sure the same happened during 2006.
Looking at the five day forecast there is a good chance the river will have settled for the last couple of days of the season. Monday through to Wednesday appear to be "dry" at the moment and with the high tides all next week we should be in for some more catches.
High tides next week are all 5 metres plus.
Remember to keep a note of all your catches (including Finnock and Brownies) and when possible collect those scale samples as your returns and samples are very important to us.
Closing Date for CATCH RETURNS 14th November 2008, please mail to the Club Treasurer, contact details on the Contacts Page.

The River is running about 18" above summer level, the water clarity is poor.
The river has dropped of nicely, still slightly high and coloured, but non the less a good chance to get in amoungst the fish before the season closes.

The River was huge yesterday, probably the third biggest flood of the season, the water clarity was very poor.
Nothing much to report ... high and dirty, but dropping quite quickly !

Nothing much to report ... high and dirty ! But I have received some of the picture from a couple of weeks ago, which are now up on the gallery. Very pleasing to see fish being returned, keep it up guys.
Hopefully, It'll remain dry today and the river can settledown a bit. The high water will encourage fish to enter the system, but I suspect they clarity will have to improve first.

The River is running about 6" above Summer Level, water clarity is OK.
Last week the reported catches were 5 salmon, taking the total reported to date to 22. So, with approx. 2 weeks remaining until the end of the season we'll have smashed last years total.
It's currently raining just now, so lets hope we get a couple of inches on the gauge and the fishing remains good next week.
High tides this week, starting today at 18:30 5.28m, they'll remain over the 5 metres until Tuesday, then back up again next Saturday, then the last week of the season brings us 5m plus tides every day !
REMEMBER YOU'RE CATCH RETURNS !

The work party was very poorly attended again today, but thankfully we managed to get the work done.
