week ending 15th August 2010

The River is running at approx. 1″ above Summer Level, water clarity is excellent.

The River started of at Summer Level, but good numbers of fish were present within the system, then there was a good rise on Thursday, taking the river to approx. 1′ above summer.  Salmon and Sea Trout were showing and finally we received confirmation of a salmon being caught as well as Sea Trout.  The fish should be well spread out throughout the beats, but with the River back down to Summer Level, the deeper holes should be worth fishing.  There is a Work Party planned for this Sunday  meeting at the Railway Bridge for 08:00 and please check out the Outing page, for details of the Clubs outing to Loch Venachar.
