The River was running at 6″ above Summer Level, water clarity was ok.
The River came up by 6′ on Sunday and fish were visible at the waterfall at Cramond right through to Monday, there were clear signs that these fish found the salmon ladder and had made it above the falls. Still plenty of brown trout being caught, with one angler now sitting at 99 for the season! Not bad. The River has dropped away since and is sitting around 1″ above Summer Level (Wed 4th) with a nice tea coloured tinge. The deeper holes should be worth fishing, with both Sea Trout and Salmon resting up and stick to the riffles for the brownies for the best results.
