Welcome to the official C.A.C website. Here you can get all the information regarding angling on The River Almond around Cramond.
Our Aim
We aim to promote fishing on the River Almond, at a very affordable price. It is also the club’s interest to maintain the river’s general health and being. The club also runs some basic riverbank maintenance to keep it clean and accessible in conjunction with the Edinburgh Ranger Service and Dalmeny Estate.
What Do We Offer
More than 6.5 miles of (mostly) double bank fishing for Season Ticket holders and 1 mile of single bank fishing for Day Tickets on the River Almond. There is good access to most parts of the river. For those who travel with public transport, getting to the river is not difficult at all, as bus routes are just minutes away.
Main species are Brown Trout and Sea Trout. Salmon have also been caught although in a very small number. “Catch and Release” especially for salmon is highly recommended. (Please refer to the club rules regarding our catch and release rules.)
