Our aims
We aim to promote fishing on the River Almond, at a very affordable price. It is also the club's interest to maintain the river's general health and being. The club also runs some basic riverbank maintenance to keep it clean and accessible in conjunction with the Edinburgh Ranger Service.
What do we offer
Around 3 miles of single (mix left and right) bank fishing on River Almond. The beat is located about 4 miles to the North West of Edinburgh city centre. There is a good access to the river, with a car park being right on the river bank, and bus routes are just minutes away.
Main species are brown trout and sea trout. Salmon have also been caught although in a very small number. Catch and release especially for salmon is highly recommended. (Please refer to the club rules regarding our catch and release rules.)
